Kumarakom is amazing tourist destination in Kerala. This village has bundles of small pictographic islands on the shore of Vembanad Lake. This place is very well known for its backwaters and houseboats. Alleppey or Allapuzha is well known for backwater tourism in Kerala and is often called as Venice of the East'. This place is a celestial experience, as the charming beauty of mother nature with canals, beaches and lagoons.Day 01 : Kumarakom Backwaters
The journey started in beautiful houseboat from Kumarakom around 12noon with a refreshing welcome drink. The houseboat went through the Vembanad lake. This lake is the largest lake in Asia. The Nehru Trophy boat race is celebrated in this portion of Vembanad lake, where we can see fifty people seated in a single boat rowing too fast and very hard to win the race. The Bird Sanctuary is another tourist attraction. Kumarakom has a huge variety of flora and fauna. The journey of a green paradise came to an end and parked our boat for a night stay in the amazing locations of freshwater.
Alleppey, Called as Venice of the East, is the place of immense natural beauty with lakes , lagoons and fresh water rivers.
Cruise through the Punnamada Lake - the venue of famous Nehru Trophy boat race and Pallathuruthy river.
Visiting of Chambakkulam church and the famous race boat - Chambakkulam chundan.
Cruise through the Neumudi river, Kuppapuram canal etc. , en route visiting of paddy fields, typical Kerala villages etc.
Parking the boat for night halt around 6pm in the beautiful locations of backwaters.
After the morning cruise and breakfast, check out the house boat at Alleppey around 10am.
